How do you tighten the belt? I can’t find anything even in my manual for it. It used to squeal every so often, but now it’s every time I need to accelerate the engine past 3k. Tossing the engine is not currently an option, but I’m aware it is basically a boat anchor. Twin of an E46 M3 that I saw today. Dat blue.

I also saw my first 993 today.

The serpentine belt? They stretch over time, though the problem could also be the tensioner.

Belt is only 15k miles old and where is the tensioner? Also, it could be the t-belt.

Timing belt has teeth, so it won’t be that slipping...I don’t know if that’s an interference engine or not, but if the timing belt slips you’d have bigger problems than squealing. Tensioner is allegedly under the power steering pump, but I just got that from a forum, I’m not a Toyota guy.

Did some googling. Looks like loosen the component ( alternator,ps pump, what have you) and pivot component out to create tension. Tighten down bolts
